Meet Stitch: The Chihuahua with a Heart Waiting to Trust Again

Introducing Stitch, a 5-year-old Chihuahua weighing approximately 13 pounds. Stitch was recently surrendered to Chloe’s Pet Rescue after his owners were displaced. Adopted from the SPCA several years ago, Stitch likely hasn’t seen a vet since—but we’re happy to report he is heartworm negative and ready to find a home where he can finally feel safe and loved.

Chihuahuas have a reputation for being a bit particular, and Stitch is no exception. He is not a dog for everyone and absolutely cannot go to a home with children. Stitch needs someone with patience and a gentle touch to help him feel comfortable and learn to trust again. We don’t know what he’s been through in the past, but we do know that with the right person, he can learn what it truly means to be loved.

We are a RESCUE ORGANIZATION; please complete your online Adoption Application, which can be found on our website. We require an adoption application, vet reference, and a home visit with the pet. ALL of our pets are spayed, neutered or scheduled prior to being adopted. They are UTD on shots, heartworm negative, treated or scheduled to be treated, and micro chipped. They must be kept on heartworm preventative for the rest of their lives. Our adoption fees vary. Puppies have an increased adoption fee since they need three or four sets of shots, multiple de-wormings, and other puppy needs to keep them healthy.

CPR is an animal rescue organization run solely by volunteers. Our primary goal is to save dogs from euthanization at shelters as a result of factors such as a lack of funding and space. These wonderful animals are put at risk because they have no one to claim and adopt them. We aim to give them the second chance that they so deserve. Our animals come to us from shelters around DFW and stay in foster homes where they are given the medical attention (vaccinations, surgeries, heart worm testing, etc) and care that they deserve.
