My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

“We can make it together, but we can only make it TOGETHER!” Yes, there’s strength in numbers, and these five survivors are no exception to the rule. Meet the Walking Dead litter! Rick, Lori, Carol, Beth and Daryl have been fighting for a new beginning. Born into street life, the odds were against them at first. Thankfully, San Antonio Animal Care Services intervened and offered them a second chance! These siblings have since found refuge with a SNIPSA foster as they search for loving families. They are sociable and lively despite their recent hardships. It won’t be long before they find their people! As descendants of a Lab mix, these cuties should reach 40 to 60 pounds in a few years. So, if you’re looking for a larger dog with a persevering spirit and a heart for adventure, apply to meet one of this ragtag bunch. You are sure to find joy in a new best friend!

More about this rescue

SNIPSA is an organization formed by a group of veterinarians and caring individuals dedicated to helping homeless and unwanted animals in San Antonio and the surrounding area. SNIPSA does not have a standing shelter and depends on a core of volunteers to foster and rehabilitate animals in their homes. This provides us with the opportunity to learn first hand about the animal’s needs and behavior in order to facilitate an appropriate adoption. SNIPSA was incorporated in 2005 and has re-homed more than 3000 animals.
