My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Name / Breed / Age: Sid / Terrier Mix / 1 year old

Personality Traits: Friendly, Shy at First, Energetic, Loves the Outdoors, Quiet, Quick Learner

Likes / Dislikes: Likes being outside, trail walks, treats, and spending time with family. No dislikes yet!

Health and Behavior History: Sid has recovered fully from surgery and is now healthy. He is working on his manners, walks well on a leash, and sleeps through the night without waking anyone up. He is shy with new people but warms up quickly. He gets along well with other dogs in playgroups and could enjoy having a sibling around his size, though he'd also be happy as the only pet. He is up to date on all shots and is neutered!

Hello, I’m Sid! I am a handsome 1-year-old 40lb terrier mix. I found myself at PIPS after recovering from surgery but I am all healed and ready to find my forever family! I love to be outside and take trail walks with my Foster mom and walk on a leash without hardly ever pulling. I am working on my manners and work even harder when treats are involved! I would rather be with my family than in a crate but will settle down in my crate after a few minutes when necessary. I sleep through the night without waking my family up and hardly ever bark. I am still young and sometimes have extra energy, but nothing a good walk can’t remedy. I am a little shy when meeting new people but, as long as they greet me slowly, I am their friend in no time. My foster mom thinks I would do better with older children.  I have gotten along with other dogs in playgroups and might like a brother or sister that is around my size, but would be fine having you all to myself. Do I sound like the perfect friend for you?
