**Meet Jimmy: The Sweet Chihuahua with a Big Heart**

This is Jimmy, a 7-year-old Chihuahua weighing in at about 7 to 9 pounds. With his short, stubby legs and adorable face, Jimmy is an absolute cutie pie who loves to cuddle up in your arms. He adores having his neck scratched and will gaze up at you with the most loving eyes while you talk to him. Originally adopted from the SPCA years ago, Jimmy unfortunately didn’t receive the care he needed and was recently surrendered to Chloe’s Pet Rescue after his owners were displaced.

At his vet visit, we discovered that Jimmy is heartworm positive. He has started on doxycycline and will begin heartworm treatment in November, with his final injections in December. During the next six months, it’s important for Jimmy to stay calm and comfortable to ensure his treatment goes smoothly.

Jimmy is as sweet as can be. He walks well on a leash, does great in a crate, and has the funniest little “bark.” It’s more of a soft whine with a tiny grumpy bark at the end—absolutely charming and unique to him.
