Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
We’d like to introduce you to Sammy, a sweet 9-year-old, long-haired Chihuahua weighing around 9 pounds. Sammy was surrendered to Chloe’s Pet Rescue after his parents were displaced, and now he’s looking for a new forever home.
Originally adopted from the Dallas shelter many years ago, Sammy’s only known medical care until now was that initial adoption visit. We’re happy to report that after his vet visit with us, Sammy is healthy, fully vaccinated, and heartworm negative.
However, Sammy does have a mass on his chest area. We have scheduled a visit with another veterinarian to determine what it is and how best to address it. Thankfully, it seems to have been there for a while, and if it were cancerous, it likely would have progressed by now. It feels more like a hernia, but we’ll know more soon.
Sammy is a calm and loving dog who enjoys being held in your arms, having his ears scratched, and his back rubbed. His gentle demeanor would make him a perfect companion for an older person looking for a quiet, affectionate friend. If you’re interested in meeting Sammy, please reach out to Chloe’s Pet Rescue today! (Dallas TX) adoption fee is $225

Additional adoption info
We are a RESCUE ORGANIZATION; please complete your online Adoption Application, which can be found on our website. We require an adoption application, vet reference, and a home visit with the pet. ALL of our pets are spayed, neutered or scheduled prior to being adopted. They are UTD on shots, heartworm negative, treated or scheduled to be treated, and micro chipped. They must be kept on heartworm preventative for the rest of their lives. Our adoption fees vary. Puppies have an increased adoption fee since they need three or four sets of shots, multiple de-wormings, and other puppy needs to keep them healthy.

CPR is an animal rescue organization run solely by volunteers. Our primary goal is to save dogs from euthanization at shelters as a result of factors such as a lack of funding and space. These wonderful animals are put at risk because they have no one to claim and adopt them. We aim to give them the second chance that they so deserve. Our animals come to us from shelters around DFW and stay in foster homes where they are given the medical attention (vaccinations, surgeries, heart worm testing, etc) and care that they deserve.
