My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet the Hill kittens! These former terrarium kittens are ready to meet you, and become your new best friends.

If you are looking for a cuddly, playful, kitten, Marble Hill (F, black and white) is the one for you! Marble Hill also has extra toes! She enjoys playing with all sorts of toys, especially things that dangle or jingle. She is a very curious cat and is intrigued at discovering new life experiences, such as adventuring into a cardboard box. One of her favorite activities is snuggling up next to you in bed and starting her purr engine. She is friendly, eager to explore new surroundings, and has no trouble acclimating to a new home. Marble Hill would best thrive with someone who enjoys giving her quality time and belly rubs.

Clinton Hill (M, brown tabby) is a rambunctious playful kitten whose hobbies include chasing string toys, wrestling with his sister, and getting zoomies on any given day. His love language is physical touch and will actively find you in bed to make biscuits while receiving head rubs. Clinton Hill also enjoys watching TV, most notably reality shows and bird watching. He can be a little shy when you first approach him, but will acclimate well in less than a day. He will become a great family member to anyone who is interested in him.

More about this rescue

Our rescue group was formed in December 2007, but all our Board Members have had extensive experience rescuing and working with abandoned animals. We often work with other rescue organizations to find appropriate and safe foster and adoptive homes for our pet clients. We regularly go to areas with abandoned animals and collect them. The animals are taken to a licensed veterinarian examined, treated and spayed or neutered. Every effort is made to work with the animal and our foster and adoptive families to find a suitable forever home.

For those animals who are truly wild and feral, we release the animal in a safe and secure location after it has recovered from its medical treatment. We also work with certified wildlife rehabilitators to rescue injured and orphaned wildlife. Our organization is focused on improving the welfare of the abandoned animals in need of help in Brooklyn. In furthering that goal, our resources are focused on the animals.

Aside from a few minimal overhead costs such as our website and phone services, our entire budget is spent on animal care such as medical and food costs.
