My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello there, I'm Borry! I'm young, friendly, and oh so sweet. My days are filled with playfulness and cuddles, and I love making new friends. Whether it's a game of fetch or a quiet evening with a good chew toy, I'm always ready for fun. My favorite thing in the world? Belly rubs! And guess what? I've got plenty of love to give in return. I'm not just a pet, I'm a companion, a confidant, and a best friend. So, why should you adopt me? Because I promise to fill your life with joy, laughter, and unconditional love. I can't wait to meet you!

More about this shelter

Founded in 1971 as the Animal Aid Society of Englewood, Suncoast Humane Society began with a few cages where people left stray animals to be cared for. Over the years, our service area has grown to include over 400 square miles, covering three counties: Sarasota, Charlotte and portions of Lee.
Suncoast Humane Society provides a safe refuge for thousands of lost, abandoned and abused animals from our service area each year. We are committed to our open-door policy of never turning any animal away, regardless of health, temperament, breed or circumstances.
