Scooter is a sweet, shy gentleman who’s ready to find his furever family! At 6 years old and just 23 lbs., this charming fellow is a delightful mix of Beagle, Dachshund, and Chihuahua, with unique traits that make him truly one-of-a-kind. He came to Connecticut all the way from California and cannot wait to find a loving home!

He might take a little time to warm up, especially with new people, so he’s looking for a home that will offer him the patience and gentle approach he needs to feel safe and secure. While Scooter is more cautious around men, his heart is full of love just waiting to be discovered. Once you’ve earned his trust, he turns into a cuddlebug and is a big fan of belly rubs.

Scooter walks gracefully on a leash and is house trained, making him a wonderful companion for someone who understands that building trust is a gradual process. He would do best in a home with older children or no kids at all, as he thrives in a calm and quiet environment. Scooter LOVES other dogs so a home with a pup would be preferred and a fenced yard would also be best so he can stay safe and secure.
