My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sorrel is looking for his forever home! He was recently rescued from MDAS, after being dumped in the streets like trash and left to fend for himself. He was saved on the day he was set to be killed at the shelter. He is a friendly boy who loves to play; he'd love a doggy brother or sister who is confident! He is a goofy bundle of enthusiasm, so he would do best in a home with no young children or older pets who don't want to play.

He is super smart and taking to training very well. He walks well on leash, he's potty trained, and we're working on basic commands (he knows Sit and Lay down). He is very active, but he doesn't need super long walks; he's fine with playing!

He will need a strong handler who will continue his training. He does have a moderate prey drive outdoors, and he sometimes will try to chase bicycles and cars.

He is being fostered in Melbourne, FL. He is neutered, UTD on vaccines and flea/HW meds, 55 lbs, and ~2 years old. He is a purebred American Pitbull Terrier (DNA tested).

Additional adoption info

Once the home is approved, we transport the pups ourselves for the final step. Our application also states if at any point the family cannot take care of the pup, the pup is to be returned to the Rescue. We do Foster to Adopt, to ensure the animal and the family have settled in and it is a good fit for both before we finalize adoption.
