Last but certainly not least, we have Whisper! She was rescued from under a trailer in Tioga County, PA! Whisper was pretty feral (wild) when we first caught her but after a few months of socialization, she has come a LOOOOOONG way and of course she has a very special place in our hearts due to that. She was the last kitten to "come around" but once she did, she hasn't looked back. We are proud of her bravery and persistence in the face of massive change and a future that she was unsure of. Whisper is a very precious, sweet soul. We know that the right person will see her for who she is and will appreciate her like we do. The key to her heart has been wet food mixed with pets. Whisper is willing to allow people to hold and handle her but she is most comfortable on her own terms and it is best to let her come to you while you are sitting on the ground with her. She will very quickly turn on her purr for you and does genuinely love attention from those she knows and trusts! A patient and experienced adopter would be best for her. Whisper is active and playful! She is great with other cats and kittens and she would make a great little companion for another kitten or cat! Like most kittens, she enjoys playing and cuddling with her siblings! It would honestly be the best and most ideal for her to be adopted with one of her siblings because it would definitely help her adjust and feel more comfortable faster in a new setting. Perhaps you would like to adopt 2 kittens?! (Ask about our 2 for the price of 1 deal!) Whisper has been introduced to a large, cat-friendly dog (German Shepherd) while in our care and she did ok although she was definitely wary and puffed herself up quite a bit! Probably only calm dogs for this young lady but we do think she'd do fine once she had an appropriate amount of time to adjust to a dog! Whisper has been spayed, is up to date on vaccines, dewormed, flea treated, FIV/FeLV/HW tested negative, and microchipped! She is ready for adoption NOW!!! We are a small, nonprofit 501c3 rescue that has the goal to home and re-home at-risk cats as well as provide TNR and Spay and Neuter Assistance to individuals who can’t afford it. We work with other animal rescue groups to prevent cruelty and neglect to animals and to assure lifetime safe and secure homes to at-risk animals, primarily cats.
