Hawkeye – Yellow Male X, 15 weeks, 29lbs.
Attention all personnel: report immediately to the adoption site for puppy kisses and puppy breath. Meet new arrival to the unit. Hawkeye ! Just like the wisecracking, devil-may-care M.A.S.H. character, canine Hawkeye is fun-loving with a talent for comedy. He is wildly smart and eager to learn about the human and dog world. Let the shenanigans begin. The start of his story is a bit scary and dramatic. He was on his way to the stockade, by no fault of his own. When, just in time, a Good Samaritan swooped in to the rescue like a helicopter. He was delivered to the safety and protection of the defenders of dogs, the Labrador Retriever Rescue of Fresno. Hawkeye is now living in a foster home with two adult dogs and a grumpy cat. Learning the ropes of living in the house. He sleeps in his bed in the foster’s room at night. He loves being outdoors and has learned to ring a bell at the door when he wants outside. Hawkeye is playful with both humans and dogs. He has medium to high energy so he likes to stay busy between naps. Playing in water, exploring and chewing sticks are his current hobbies. According to his foster Mom, he is endlessly entertaining, happy, adventurous and athletic.
All puppies will be up to date on their age appropriate vaccinations as well as being spayed, neutered and microchipped. Please remember that our goal is to find the best possible forever home for each and every dog so it is not a first come first serve situation. It is also important to add that a puppy can be up to a 15 year commitment and most labs have puppyish qualities for up to and sometimes beyond 2 years. An active family (children 6+) willing to take the time, patience, and commitment to work with a pup is important. Like all young Labs, training and regular exercise are essential to a happy, healthy pup. If you would like Hawkeye to be part of your family, please fill out an application at www.labrescuefresno.org and ask for HAWKEYE!
