Meet our pretty girl named Abby! We believe Abby is about 2.5 years old. She came to our shelter after she was found roaming around in someone's backyard. We believe this poor girl was dumped in the area, left to fend for herself. Once with us, Abby began to come out of her shell pretty quickly. She loves treats, and by the end of the day she was in our laps! Abby has short legs and a long body. She is a big fan of squeaky toys and will chase them around in our backyard. Once she is comfortable, she will even roll over for a belly rub. We think Abby is some kind of Lab/Hound mix, and she makes more of a howl sound than a bark. Abby is good with cats and she can go to a home with children 12 years old and older. Abby was adopted out once, and she was recently returned due to the other female dog in the house not getting along with her. We have seen Abby interact with other dogs, and she is very playful with them. We still believe she can live in a home with another dog, preferably a male dog.

You must be 21 years of age to adopt with valid ID. There is a short application for adoption, however if you do not own your home, or you own a condo, we must speak with your landlord or housing association giving permission to dogs/cats. Bully breed specific permission is required if you rent or own a condo. If you own your home, proof of home ownership is required. If there are other pets in the home they must be licensed (if a dog) and up to date on vaccinations. If there is another dog in the home a dog interaction must be done at the shelter before adoption, to ensure the safety and well being of all pets. All children in the home need to be declared and brought down to meet the animal.
Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal.
An approved application does not guarantee an adoption. We do not hold animals for meet and greet appointments.
ALL ANIMALS ARE SPAYED AND NEUTERED BEFORE THEY GO HOME.
