Meet the little man himself, Steele! Steele is a sweet and gentle soul just looking for a place to call his home. Mr. man's story is nothing short of heart break. Steele was able to escape the terrible life of being part of a dog fighting ring where he sustained the majority of his scars, THEN was able to escape the city euthanasia list. He is a docile boy, loving, sweet, and just happy to be alive. Steele is dog friendly and LOVES people of all ages! He is 2 years old, neutered and current on all immunizations. Steele is low energy level: Enjoys his zoomies and brief outside time, But most of all Steel wants to snuggle up with his people and get a good, snore- filled nap in.

Adopters application will either get approved or denied based on the pets needs.

2.
Meet the Pet

Adoption interview and a meet and greet happen at the same time.

3.
Home Check

If meet and greet/ interview go well, we will do a home check to ensure the pet is safe.

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

Once adoption contract is signed and fee is paid, the pet has officially been adopted!

Additional adoption info

Southside Strays adopts dogs out as indoor companions, not as outdoor guard dogs. Most of the pets that come through our door had either been abandoned or spent way too long wandering the streets. It's their turn to enjoy the life of a spoiled bed-hog! We do require home checks before the adoption process is complete to ensure our dogs are going to a safe home.
