Smokey Joe is an ex-feral senior feline looking for an experienced foster or adopter that can handle his special needs and meet his high standards of care.
Smokey Joe demands: - Your constant attention and all the pets - Dibs on the best real estate in the house, preferably a warm sunny spot with an excellent view of the outdoors - To be regularly entertained by feather and ribbon wands, catnip kickers, and soft furry mice to chase and destroy - To be fed the gourmet stuff like Fancy Feast
Smokey Joe also has certain traits and conditions that a potential foster or adopter must consider: - He is VOCAL and LOUD (so, maybe no apartments for him) - Needs daily administration of lactulose for his constipation - Imperfect litter box habits (again, due to his constipation) - Requires a well-hydrated diet, preferably more wet food than dry - Needs an outlet for his boundless energy, so puzzle treats, cat trees and regular exercise are a must - Is cat-selective and prefers the company of young or submissive cats - Is dog-friendly as long as they mutually ignore each other
To qualify as Smokey Joe’s live-in companion, you must be: - Able to handle his constant criticisms if you don’t give him your undivided attention - Able to endure his ear-piercing opera if he misses his daily dose of medication - Capable of cleaning up his messes when he misses - Willing to serve at the whim and pleasure of a feline dictator
Living with Smokey Joe is not for the faint-hearted, but you will never be bored in his company. He may be a jerk to you or other cats, but it’s done out of a profound love for inferior beings.
Experienced alpha-cat whisperers need only apply.
Born November 2013 and is located in a foster home.
