My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Where are all my XL Bully lovers at?
Well, we’d like to introduce you to our lion, Dandelion. 🌼🌼

Dandelion is a svelte 3-year old XL Bully who has a body of a slinky lion but the disposition of a delicate flower. Dandy is a big ole softy through and through. She’s really sweetheart with a heart of true gold. She’s great in the crate and potty trained. She has a great appetite now that we have figured out her diet. Dandy loves chewing on elk antlers and cuddling with stuffys. She has spouts of energy with zoom-ies and full body spins but for the most part would prefer to lay around and nap. Dandelion doesn’t seem at all interested in getting up on furniture or beds and would prefer to lay on the floor.

Due to her size (her range will be about 100-120lb) we are recommending no small dogs or cats and no small children.
In terms of friendliness Dandelion is the absolute best. She’s shy at first but she wants to love and be loved. We hope with the right patient owner she will flourish. She would benefit with training, from a basic understanding of controlling her own strength when she gets excited to being able to control herself with another dog in the house consistently. Throughout her time in her foster home she has worked on leash skills with prong, muzzle conditioning, and crate training.

She has begun to co-exist with the dogs in the house and has small amounts of play time. We believe with more time and energy spent she will be able to co-exist and live with another dog. But, the adopter who applies needs to be aware that this will not be an immediate thing and will need to be a slow introduction, worked on over time and training. You can see it in her eyes and soul she wants to love on humans and dogs, she has so much energy to give she just hasn’t figured out how to to harness it all into appropriate amounts.

She’s worth it. She’s worth the time and love. Her squishy lips and adorable face will melt anyone’s heart. Apply today to come see for yourself!!

More about this rescue

Muttley Crue Rescue CLE is a Pit Bull Rescue. We are a division of Tails from the City Cleveland, a non profit rescue. Muttley Crue Rescue CLE is a volunteer/ foster rescue group based in Cleveland, OH dedicated to rescuing homeless, death row and owner surrender dogs/puppies.

We have a special place in our hearts for the bully breeds and LOVE pitbulls, but will take in any four-legged of any breed. We made a commitment to The Cleveland Animal Control to rescue pit bulls from death row. When able, we also pull from pounds in southern Ohio or take in owner surrenders or strays. We appropriately vet them and get them healthy. Most are underweight, neglected or abused. Some have major health concerns - heartworm, orthopedic issues, etc. We are funded by ourselves & by the generous donations of others. The adoption fees help cover the pets' vet bills (spay/neuter, vaccinations, etc) and allow us to continue to save other dogs. In addition to fostering and placing homeless animals we help network any animal in need.
