Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Lizette is a very special deaf doggo who has some big fans and advocates in the community and at the shelter! Lizette spent about a month in a foster home and her foster parent had a ton of great information to share! They shared the following about sweet, easy Lizette:
· Good on leash · Can be left alone in house (not destructive) · House trained with a doggie door · Crate trained and sleeps in the crate or on the couch · Playful and likes shredding ropes and play tug of war · Affectionate and loveable, cuddle bug, spunky and energetic, friendly, great sleeper · Learning sign language (knows “sit” and working on “no”)
One of our volunteers is teaching Lizette hand signals for basic behavioral commands. She’s currently teaching Lizette to “come”, “look”, “sit,” and “wait.” One great perk of adopting a PACC pup is that you have access to our Top Dogs training team, who can help you reinforce and carryover the skills that Lizette is learning at the shelter.
Because she is deaf, Lizette doesn’t always pick up on cues from other dogs, so a dog intro is required before she goes home to any furry roommates. At six years old, this sweet older gal is looking to settle down with her furever family. Could that be you?
