My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Valentino, a gorgeous 3-year-old red Doberman with a zest for life and a heart full of love! This handsome boy is always up for an adventure, especially when it involves car rides or new places to explore. Valentino has been complimented on his great house manners and is doggy door trained, making him a breeze to have around the home. After a day of excitement, he's more than happy to relax on the couch for a cozy Netflix binge with his favorite humans. His ideal day is a balance of play and snuggle time, showing just how adaptable and loving he can be.

In his previous home, Valentino was a frequent visitor to the dog park, where he made lots of friends with other nice dogs. His social nature and easygoing personality helped him bond with dogs of all sizes, proving that he's a great companion in any pack. Whether chasing after a ball or simply enjoying time with his furry pals, Valentino brought fun and warmth everywhere he went. Even though he's a bit more petite than your typical Doberman, his lively spirit and big personality make him stand out in the best way.

If you're looking for a loyal companion who is as sweet as he is playful, Valentino could be the perfect match. This beautiful boy is eager to find his forever home and become the heart of a loving family. With his good manners, loving nature, and charming personality, Valentino is ready to bring joy and companionship to whoever is lucky enough to welcome him into their life. Come meet him today, and let Valentino's wonderful spirit steal your heart!

More about this rescue

The vision for ACT has been brewing in the minds of the Animal Compassion Team founders for many years. The paths we have walked have prepared us and tested our determination through hard work, buckets of tears, mountains of fecal matter (a favorite topic of discussion amongst animal rescuers), and more than our fair share of discouragement and heartbreak. Having said that, why would we choose to dive in deeper? For the love of the animals we serve. It is just that simple. Dogs, cats, and other wonderful animals are dying in huge numbers daily. We hope to help change that. In August of 2009, we became a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation with California and the Federal Government. It was and continues to be, a huge leap of faith for all of us who already feel overwhelmed by the work we are doing, but we believe this is the time....this is what we have all been preparing for. One life saved makes all the effort and emotional investment worthwhile. This is going to be an exciting journey, and we hope to post MANY happy endings.

Our Mission Statement:

To provide a safe haven for domestic animals, regardless of breed or species, through rescue, rehabilitation, adoption, and sanctuary. To advocate for the humane treatment of animals and promote the human-animal bond. To educate the public about the importance of kindness, compassion, and responsible pet ownership which will emphasize spaying and neutering. To cooperate and work with other animal rescues and shelters towards the goal of becoming a no-kill nation.
