Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Hello, world! I`m Ri Ri, a 4-year-old German Shepherd with a heart full of love and a spirit that`s slowly but surely finding its way to happiness. Life hasn’t been easy for me so far. I’ve faced more than my share of challenges, and it’s made me a bit nervous and unsure at times. The shelter can be a scary place, full of unfamiliar sounds and lots of barking, which makes me feel overwhelmed and hesitant.
But here`s the good news: I’m a sweet and affectionate girl once I get to know you. With a little patience and kindness, I’ll start to show my true colors. When I trust you, you`ll find that I’m a loving companion who enjoys gentle affection and quiet moments.
I dream of a serene home where I can feel safe and secure, away from the chaos of the shelter. A place where I can slowly adjust and blossom into the loyal and loving friend I’m meant to be. If you have a quiet home and a big heart, I might be just the girl you`ve been waiting for.
Will you give me the chance to be your forever friend?

More about this shelter
Volunteers needed now. Are you an animal lover, do you have a couple of hours each week to volunteer? Many opportunities available. Work with dogs, cats, bunnies, office work, fostering and more. For more details on volunteering contact Michelle Maltun at (805) 345-5741.
We care for stray and homeless animals, including cats, kittens, dogs, puppies, rabbits and other animals such as chickens, guinea pigs or iguanas. We always hope the family will come to reclaim their lost pet, but if not, we work to find a loving new family for them.
We ensure that dogs are current on their rabies vaccination and license.
At Animal Services, our goal is to ensure that all the animals in our County have a safe place to live. We work hard to find loving homes for the many dogs, cats, rabbits and other animals that come into our care. Together, with community partners and concerned citizens, we are making sure that all these animals have a "Forever Home!"
