My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

SPARROW is currently being fostered in TEXAS
Sparrow is approximately 6 to 8 years old and 19 pounds. As a side note her shelter paperwork states she is 9yr and 11 pounds which is inaccurate).
Sparrow was in a very bad shelter after being rescued from a hoarding situation. She appears to be a min pin.
Sparrow is missing her right eye and has a scar in her left. This surgery was done by the rescue organization that originally pulled her from the shelter. She has sight in her left eye.
Sparrow also had a teeth cleaning, no extra time needed which is why we believe she is more around 6 year ls not 9.
Sparrow has been through a lot and has a sadness to her. She is a bit of a lost soul but has a sweet and forgiving heart.
Sparrow was very scared her first few days and would scream when we went near here, then bark at us. Once we gained her trust, she was a little love bug.
Sparrow is great with dogs of all ages and sizes. I think toddlers would be a little too much for her but older kids would be fine.
She is gentle, quiet kind and she wants so badly to love and be loved.
She will need some decompression time in her new home and environment but I promise just give her a few days and she will be trusting and wanting and needing of your love and affection and will easily gratefully, return it.
Sparrow is a true rescue dog. She has a lot of healing to do. She needs a quiet home with a soft hand and gentle voice.
She will walk on leash and harness well once she gets to know you but the first few days she will probably be terrified so some extra precaution should be made for those few first few crucial days of taking her out to potty.
A fenced in yard or secured fenced or penned area would probably be preferred for the first few days but if not, you can take her out on a leash and SECURE harness making 110% sure she can not get out of her harness/collar.
