Hey there, I'm Diesel! I wound up here after a hilarious incident involving a squirrel, a skateboard, and a whole lot of peanut butter. Long story short, I mistook a squirrel for my best friend, chased it onto a skateboard, and ended up rolling through a peanut butter factory. You should've seen the mess! But hey, I'm not just about the laughs. I'm your dog if you're looking for a smart, playful, and goofy sidekick!

Our normal adoption fees range from $50-$95, but we often run adoption specials.

Our fees are structured to cover the costs of each animal's spay or neuter, vaccinations, deworming, transportation to their adoptive home, and to help support our rescue efforts here in Arkansas.

To inquire about adopting a dog, give us a call or send us an email and we will promptly reply with information about the dog and our adoption process and an application.

If you are an out of state resident but are interested in one of our shelter animals, please inquire and we will discuss out of state adoptions.

Good Shepherd Humane Society, Inc. was founded in 1974, in Eureka Springs, AR. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that is supported solely by donations, adoption fees, membership subscriptions and fund raising events. We also benefit from the Good Shepherd Humane Society Doggie Thrift Stores, where all proceeds go directly to the Animal Shelter. The stores are located in Eureka Springs, AR. & Berryville, AR.

Carroll County, placing as many as possible into loving homes.

To promote responsible pet ownership and humane treatment for all animals.
