Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Luke
Luke is a gorgeous young coonhound mix. He looks to be under a year old. He is a sweet, friendly, out-going, and affectionate pup. We don’t know what life was like for him before coming to us, but all we can say is he’s looking forward.
Luke loves to play. He is energetic and smart. Luke loves people, other dogs, but not cats. He was in a brief foster but his new family has cats, and Luke couldn’t be distracted from them. He’ll be adopted to a home that doesn’t have cats. Luke walks nicely on a leash, loves car rides and is a happy young pup.
Luke loves everyone he meets, both adults and children, and gives a happy tail wag and cuddle. He’s super affectionate and confident. He seems to be housetrained, and had no accidents in the house. If looking for a handsome young dog to be your running buddy, hiking companion or best friend, this little guy has it all. He will quickly bond to his new family with hugs and kisses.
If interested in Luke, please submit a dog application online at www.charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org Please call our shelter at 706-865-4135 or email us at smithgallhumanesociety@windstream.net to let us know to be on the lookout. All adopters must complete an approval process which involves a reference check with current/recent vet and a brief home visit if located in the immediate area. We do permit out of state adoptions. Adopters MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. We do not ship nor do we transport them to their new homes. Adoption policies and application procedures are detailed at the shelter website: http://charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org/ under tab All Adoptable Animals.
Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a No kill shelter. Animals in our care remain safe with us until adopted. Resident animals are either owner relinquished rescued from area Animal Controls or high kill shelters. The facility usually is operating at capacity with a list of animals waiting for space to open.
