Oh wow, if only Opelika could launch those big ears of hers, she’d probably be able to fly! This 8-year old, 16-pound Chihuahua mix is cute-as-button and an absolute ‘lil love bug.

Terrific around adults, mature kids, dogs, and cats, Opelika has no trouble getting along with and/or co-existing with other living creatures. She is a great mixture of playful, energetic, chill, and calm. She loves being pet and having her ear rubbed and scratched. She gets excited when it’s time for a walk or a visit to the dog park, but is equally as thrilled to just hang out on the couch. Opelika is a true go-with-the-flow sweetheart!

Housebroken and terrific on a leash, Opelika enjoys the outdoors and gets a kick out of greeting people and other pets along the way. You can even take her on the subway! She comes when you call her name, she loves to eat, and her desire to please, along with her food motivation, will enable Opelika to master basic commands, such as sit, stay, and paw.

Don’t let Opelika’s age fool you. She is still very much young-at-heart and has a looong future to look forward to. All she needs is someone to love, trust, adore, and grow old with. And for that, she will give you the world!
