My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Alaska is a delightful 5-month-old kitten who, along with her sibling, Carolina, found her way to our shelter seeking a forever home. This sweet tabby girl is energetic and loves to spend her days snuggling, playing, and exploring with her sister.
Alaska is adorable and great with cat-friendly children, making her the perfect addition to a loving family. Whether she's chasing after toys or curling up for a cozy nap, Alaska's playful spirit and affectionate nature will surely melt your heart. She would love to be adopted with her sister to help her burn off some of that kitten energy!
Don't miss the chance to bring Alaska and her sister into your life. Contact us today to arrange a visit and discover the joy of welcoming this lovable duo into your home! 🐱 💕
Alaska and her sister have tested positive for Feline Leukemia (FeLV). FeLV is not a type of cancer; it's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life span. Most importantly, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. Our shelter waives the adoption fees for these cats and offers some support post-adoption. Alaska can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are fine! If you have any questions, we'd love to talk with you about FeLV care.
***Adoptions are by appointment only. Please fill out an application online on our website, and someone will be in contact you for an appointment***
**All cats/kittens adopted from the Boone Area Humane Society must be indoor-only animals and can not be declawed**
