My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

River was found all alone by a river - hence his name. River is super sweet, affectionate, playful, talkative. He runs to greet you at the door and meows to welcome you. He purrs as soon as you start petting him. He has to be close to you and supervise when he's not playing. River will snuggle up with you at night and sleep with you. He gets along well with other cats. Timid at first with the fosters dog but came around and plays with his tail now. River really needs to have at least one other cat in the home. River is neutered, up to date with age related vaccines, negative for FELV/FIV, dewormed and microchipped. River is in a home with other cats and dogs.

Their adoption process

1.
Submit Application

If current or past pets in the home, please contact your veterinary office that has seen your pets and allow them to release info to RLR.

2.
Interview

A phone interview is completed after review of submitted application.

3.
Meet the Pet

Should step 1 and 2 go well, meeting the animals you are interested in or any that we may recommend occurs.

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

After meeting the pet, if you feel the pet is a good fit for you and we feel you are a good fit for the pet, an adoption may occur.

Additional adoption info

Adopter must be 21 years or older and
have a valid Photo ID showing your current address

We reserve the right to refuse any placement we consider unsatisfactory.
