My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.

ABBY is near and dear to my heart.  She was a total mess when she came in, oh my gosh you could barely touch her but she wanted to be touched so she could feel love.  She looks so much better now and has healed from being on the streets for so long.  ABBY was used as a breeding machine.  Her poor body showed that she had given birth continuously over the years.

Even after a few years of hard labor ABBY is a sweet love who sticks close by and loves on me every chance she gets.  She has to fit in with the other foster dogs in my home and sometimes it is a challenge to find a spot.  But ABBY talks!!  She tries to tell me what she wants and like a crazy dog lady I talk back to her just to keep her going.

ABBY loves to sit on my lap and sleep with me but she will sleep in a doggy bed if there is no space next to me occupied by other small breed dogs.  She gets along with all of the dogs, she doesn't bother them and they do not bother her.  She rides in the car without getting sick and walks very well on a leash.

ABBY is a pure breed Shih Tzu, 5 years old and 12 pounds.  If you are interested in adopting her please submit an application on the website below.  Thank you.

ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED

Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE.

We transport across the United States.

Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption.

Our organization is run by volunteers/foster parents, please be patient to give us time to respond to your emails and/or phone calls.  We will reply to you.  Thank you.

More about this rescue

Roxxy's K-9 Rescue is located in San Antonio, Texas, a 501c3 non profit. Our organization receives puppies/dogs from a variety of source such as our very high kill city shelter, owner surrender and abandoned/dumped on the streets. We get all of our dogs spay/neutered, rabies, dewormed, vaccinated and microchipped before they are posted for adoption. If there are any medical needs we cover them beforehand.
We like to match up the dogs personality with the families lifestyle so everyone is happy and the match/transition is a good one.
