My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

~~ THIS IS A COURTESY POST. THIS DOG IS **NOT** IN THE CARE OF THE ALTERNATIVE HUMANE SOCIETY. PLEASE REACH OUT THE OWNER DIRECTLY AT matthewvinje@hotmail.com  THANK YOU~~

Urgent need to re-home due to unfortunate circumstances. Meet PONGO!! Since getting him in May 2024 from a Texas shelter I have discovered he can be dog friendly - but needs a few controlled meets before friendship happens (became friends with another dog and a temp foster dog during my time with him) barks at first however. Needs to work on first impressions.

-sucky, love bug, sometimes whiny, huge heart, listens well to commands, loves cuddling, playful, sweet

-I have observed some symptoms of possible previous abuse and abandonment (history unknown)

-strong boy so needs someone who can manage his strength for walks or just needs a yard (63 pounds)

-has been nippy a few times while being a brat, no bite history. Shelter had concern for possible fear based aggression. Soon as he got home he was fine, possibly just fear of shelter environment. He has been such a good boy with me.

-fear of vet (shelter ptsd?) needs muzzle/relax meds for appts

-HW negative, just given de-tick/flea and de-worm meds. Neutered.

1 yrs old.

Cat friendly - unknown.

Kid friendly - unknown.

Crate trained - yes.

House broken - yes.

Up to date on shots - yes.

He is such a deserving boy!
