How about a very friendly, male, orange tabby kitten for your new companion? Degas greets you at the door, reaches up to be held like a baby, touches your nose, and gives kitty kisses. This confident, easy-going guy was born in March 2024. He and his tiny siblings had to be bottle fed. Degas will jump into your lap or let you place him there and stays as long as you keep petting or brushing. Being kitten-active, he likes to play with toys by himself or interactively with you.

His medium-loud purr is heard when he comes in contact with his trusted person. When in the mood, he rolls over wanting tummy stroking. Degas lives with an active dog and other cats, all of which he gets along with. He hasn’t met children, but will do well if they are respectful and gentle. He is friendly with strangers after a few minutes. Degas would enjoy another pet for a companion. He uses a scratching post and has fine litterbox habits. Siblings are available.

This cat and others are available at Cat Tales Rescue. Cats have been vet checked, spayed/neutered, wormed, tested for FIV/FeLV, have distemper and rabies shots. Adoption fees are $200+tax, and for cats age 6+ the fee is $175+tax. Calicos and Siamese are $250+tx. If you are gone 7 or more hours a day, please consider adopting two cats, as one cat usually gets bored. Two cats are easier to care for than one (they self-entertain while you are at work), and they are emotionally healthier (don’t get lonely and bored).
