Meet Sasha!

Sasha's story is long and tragic, but our hope at Out of the Woods Rescue is to make sure she has a happy ending!

Sasha was thought to be hit by a car and brought to a local veterinary hospital by her finder for treatment. Sasha was in rough shape - she had pulmonary contusions, hemorrhage in her eyes, and a fractured jaw. While treating her, they found that she was microchipped and contact her owners immediately. Unfortunately, they denied owning her and were not interested in helping her recover. That's where Out of the Woods Rescue jumped in. Sasha had a wire placed in her jaw to stabilize the fracture, and here we are two months later, ready for adoption! Sasha is vision impaired, almost blind, but is very capable and gets around quite well.

Sasha was already spayed and microchipped, but we have updated her vaccinations, deworming, administered flea prevention, and tested negative for FeLV and FIV.

Sasha is currently house at our Cat Adoption Center in PetSmart in Northeast Philadelphia (7422 Bustleton Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19152).
