My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Chico is a 4-year-old black and tan German Shepherd who found his forever home alongside his loyal companion, Bear, after being rescued from the Lancaster, CA shelter. The deep bond between Chico and Bear is undeniable, and they are inseparable, bringing joy and affection to everyone they meet. Their personalities shine through in their gentle, loving nature, and they are truly the epitome of affectionate couch potatoes. Both Chico and Bear thrive in the company of people and other dogs, making them perfect for a family looking for devoted and friendly pets.

While Chico and Bear enjoy their daily walks and outdoor adventures, they are equally content to unwind and snuggle up together on a soft surface. Their easygoing temperament and love for relaxation make them delightful companions for cozy nights in or leisurely days at home. With both dogs being neutered, housebroken, and up to date on their vaccinations, they are well-prepared to bring warmth and happiness to their new family. Chico and Bear’s harmonious bond and affectionate nature ensure they will be cherished members of any loving home.

More about this rescue

Shepherd's Paws Animal Rescue was established in 2015 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with the specific purpose of operating an all breed animal rescue. We are dedicated to providing rescue to abandoned, abused, neglected and homeless animals. We rescue dogs in the United States from imminent death at animal shelters, humane societies, pounds, and from owners who can no longer keep their dogs, and place them into new and permanent adoptive homes.

All of our dogs receive vet care, are up to date on their vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed or neutered.
