My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

PLEASE READ CANELITA'S BIO IN DETAIL TO ENSURE THAT SHE WILL BE A GOOD FIT FOR YOU AND YOUR LIFESTYLE BEORE APPLYING. PEASE NOTE: CANELITA IS BEING FOSTERED IN THE BRAMPTON, ON AREA

We at All Paws Matter believe in the benefits of post-adoption training for our dogs and their families. This allows for continued socialization, learning and helps to create a well-mannered and balanced dog. This is now a requirement in our adoption process. Proof of training classes for puppies specifically is required before adoption.

Canelita (Lita as she’s known) is a gem of a dog. She walks like a dream and is a beautiful gentle soul. She is all you could want in a companion. She loves to hang with you and is great with dogs and also with cats but she is interested in chasing on occasion but never harms them. It would be at the cat owners discretion but with proper training she would be wonderful.

Lita is a little shy at first meeting but it doesn’t take long for her to warm up. Females are her fave but will get used to men fairly quickly. She is great with other dogs but does need a slow introduction due to her shyness. She does walk beautifully but once she sees a squirrel, look out! She will want to chase them. Lita travels well in the car so you can take her on many adventures.

Lita would be best in a home with a secured fenced backyard and since she does bark at strange noises, apartments and condos are not an option for her. Lita loves to be by your side at all times and loves to nestle by you and chill. We feel she would do well in a home where someone works from home full or part time. She would sit under your desk for hours just to be close to her. Respectful children would be find but must be 8+

Lita does have vivid dreams when she sleeps and she does move around a lot so keeping her on a bed on the floor is the best thing for her to keep her safe. Lit
If you feel you would be the right fit for Canelita, please fill out an adoption application at https://www.allpawsmatter.ca/apply-to-adopt/

All APM dogs are UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, spayed or neutered, dewormed, Heart worm (4dx snap) tested and arrive with a health certificate. They come to adopter with a harness, a collar and two leashes for safety.

NOTE: The above description is relevant to this dog in its current and previous setting. Home changes and adopter personalities can bring out different behaviours not previously seen. We also do not claim or suggest that our dogs are hypo-allergenic or that they shed/do not shed.

BREED DISCLAIMER: We are never sure of the breed of our dogs since they arrive off the streets or shelters. It is a guess only!

More about this rescue

At All Paws Matter Dog Rescue along with our sister rescue SOS el Arca, we are determined to save as many broken, abused, abandoned to die and neglected street and shelter dogs in Canada and Mexico as we can. Motivated by a deep love of our 4 legged friends, our mandate is to save and improve as many lives as possible. We have seen many tragedies and have witnessed the most horrible cruelties, but we know working together we can make a significance difference. Raising the awareness of the importance of spaying and neutering our 4 legged friends and through the love and support of our wonderful volunteers, supporters and adopters our hope is to rescue, heal and successfully rehome as many of these deserving souls as possible.
