Why we love him: Flex has a zest for life and and his happy presence brightens our days!
Flex is, in a word, fabulous! His is 18 months old and weighs 72 pounds. He is so handsome with his chestnut color coat and beautiful eyes.
This charming canine has a bouncy, happy-go-lucky, goofy personality that endears him to everyone he meets! His wonderfully expressive doggie face looks like he is smiling at you!
He is a very enthusiastic companion on his daily walks and will go for as long as you want. Flex loves to explore the trails on our beautiful shelter grounds and is so interested in his surroundings. He would be a fine hiking or running buddy, too.
He has a lot of energy and will thrive in a home where he has the exercise he needs.
Flex has such fun in the fenced yard, where he bounds about in total joy!
He has enjoyed meeting his fellow companions in play groups. If you have another dog, we do require a meet and greet to ensure compatibility.
He is a bright, eager to please dog who should learn any commands you wish to teach him. His signature move is to give you a high five, as you can see in one of his photos.
Most of all, Flex wants to be your favorite cuddle buddy. He is so sweet and affectionate and has a heart full of love he will gladly share with you.
Take Flex home and you will have such a devoted, fun and loyal companion!

Cheatham County Animal Control is committed to finding good homes for the animals that come into the shelter system. We work with rescues and adopters. We are a no kill shelter but we rely on people coming in to adopt!
All of our cats/dogs receive vaccinations that are appropriate for the age and health when they are at animal control. We also spay and neuter all of our animals. The adopter is responsible for all vaccinations and medical care after adoption.
