MEET SARAH. This very sweet Pit Bull Terrier was given up by her owner recently due to marital problems in the home. This was devastating for Sarah, who was adopted at only 8 weeks old, and now is about 3 years old. Sarah also lost her canine pals when her home fell apart. She is clearly overweight - she weighs about 75 pounds and is now on a diet! :) She loves kids and other big dogs, but does not do well with cats or little dogs. Despite her sad story, Sarah is adjusting well and is truly a lovebug. She needs a foster or forever home. Please email for an application.

We have an extensive application and spend time with potential applicants to make sure we match people with the right dogs. We also have a 100% return policy as we understand sometimes adoptions just do not work out.

Freedom Ride Rescue Inc. is an active 501(c)(3) animal rescue based in Ventura, Calif. We rescue dogs and cats primarily from overcrowded California shelters, and do our best to find wonderful homes for them. We also take in many owner surrenders every year. We adopt dogs to people in many states, and have a high success rate with our adoptions. We do our best to match people with the right dogs.
