My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hercules is a 6 year old neutered male weighing around 55 pounds. As you can see in his pictures, Hercules has met with some less than kind people. Sadly, he has 4 bullets in his body. He has seen our vet who feels that going into Hercules to remove them is not necessary at this time. What we really want to do for Hercules is to find him a home as soon as possible where he can heal and and be treated like the sweet boy that he is. Hercules is up to date on all vaccines and neutered. Upon adoption he will get a micro chip and heart worm test. Check with shelter staff on his adoption fee. Transportation assistance is available.

Additional adoption info

Perspective adopters can find our dogs on Petfinder or social media or by just coming to the shelter. Upon choosing a dog to adopt, they will be interviewed and if the dog appears to fit their needs, the adoption will take place. If the dog is already altered, they can go home that day. If not yet altered, a vet appointment will be scheduled and the adopter can pick their dog up from the vet the day of the surgery.

More about this shelter

We are a regional shelter servicing two rural counties in Kentucky. Our shelter supports animal control and when space allows, owner surrenders. We utilize foster homes and rescues to house our dogs in addition to the kennels in our shelter. We make every effort to place our dogs in responsible loving homes.
