My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Xena is a sweet dog. loves to be outside. She likes to play fetch, tug of war, etc. She will sit, lay, wait on command
She responds to Xena or Come Here when being called. She does OK on a leash but could use some pull training. She is crate trained. Xena is a defensive eater, meaning she needs to eat alone and not around other dogs. Outside of eating she does like other dogs and will want to play with them. She does not do well with small children, and is generally shy with most people, she is not offensive or aggressive but will remain distant and sometimes bark, she requires warming up and needs reassurance over time before she will trust a person. Once she does gain trust she will then act as a normal protective shepherd, but her default is having distance and feeling out your energy. After a couple months, she will like cuddling at night/morning and enjoys always being close.
