Meet Zara!
This sweet, energetic 7-month-old puppy is ready to find her forever family! Zara is a lively young girl with a curious spirit and a heart full of adventure. Likely a herding breed or shepherd mix, she's always eager to meet new people and explore the world around her. She may need a little help with leash training, as she's still learning how to temper her excitement, but she's a quick learner and eager to please.

Zara thrives in active environments and would love a backyard where she can run and play. She gets along well with other dogs and is always up for a game of chase or tug-of-war. She's also quite intelligent, already knowing basic commands and being house trained, but she can be a bit headstrong, so consistent guidance and structure would be great for her.

Due to her herding tendencies, a home without small children would probably be best, and she hasn't yet learned how to interact with cats yet. She's a smart, playful pup who would thrive in a family with an active lifestyle-someone who enjoys outdoor adventures and wants a fun, loving companion to join in!

Our adoption process involves completing a one-page adoption application. Applications are processed within 48 hours.

Adoption fees for cats/kittens are $130.00. All cats/kittens have been wormed, altered, tested for feline leukemia, given age-appropriate vaccinations, and are microchipped.

Adoption fees for dogs/puppies are $300.00 All dogs/puppies have been wormed, altered, tested for heart worm, given age-appropriate vaccinations, and are microchipped.

We also offer our Senior for Senior program matching senior animals to people over the age of 63. Adoption fees are waived for this program.

Camp Companion is a 501c3 organization established in 2003.

Based in Rochester MN, the organization is totally driven by volunteers.

Camp Companion is dedicated to providing low-cost spay and neuter services for feral, farm and stray companion animals. The organization is funded solely by donations, fundraisers, grants, and adoption fees. All funds we receive are used for veterinary expenses and the cost of care incurred for the animals waiting for their forever homes.

Through our spay / neuter efforts, we encounter kittens and stray domestic cats that need rescue services and a forever home. We have no shelter, but rely on foster homes to care for these rescued pets. Every animal we offer for adoption is spayed or neutered.
