Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
This one-year-old sweetheart has a lot of love and personality to share. Junie came to us because her previous owner could no longer care for her, and while she might seem a bit shy at first, her true nature shines through once she feels comfortable.
Junie enjoys close bonds with her people, preferring a calm and quiet environment where she can feel secure. She has a big heart and is happiest when she can be near her favorite person, but she isn't overly clingy or demanding of attention.
While Junie gets along with other dogs in general, she can be a bit protective of her toys and treats, so she would do best as the only dog in the home. She has also shown some reactivity on the leash, especially around strangers, but with time and patience, she warms up and reveals her sweet side. Because of her past experiences, Junie would thrive in an adult-only home or one with older, dog-savvy children who understand her need for space and respect her boundaries.
Junie is still young and impressionable, and with the right guidance, she’ll continue to grow into a well-rounded companion. She’s looking for a home where she can be the center of attention and where her new family understands that she’s still learning how to navigate the world.
If you’re searching for a dog who will be a loyal and devoted companion, Junebug LaRue might be the perfect match. Reach out today to meet her and see if she’s the one for you! Please inquire today!

More about this rescue
Pug Nation Rescue of Los Angeles is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, care, and placement of abandoned, neglected, unwanted, displaced, and abused pugs. Our goal is to find every homeless pug a forever home; if we cannot do that, we pledge to provide a comfortable and loving place for sick or unwanted pugs to live out their lives. Our Board of five and numerous volunteers are passionate about Pug Rescue and live by our motto of “One Pug at a Time”. We feel that through our efforts we can change many of these forgotten Pug’s lives. In order to find our Pugs a home as soon as possible, we hold at least three adoption fairs a month and also organize a number of fundraising events, including the annual Pugtacular festival and Legendary Bingo at Hamburger Mary’s in West Hollywood. These events and on-line fundraising have provided the money to help pay for vet treatments, medicine and loving care at our Pug Station. We rely on the generosity of our supporters through donations and participation in our fundraising activities. If you would like to make a donation, find out about the next event, become a volunteer, foster, or adopt your own rescue pug, you are in the right place! You can also follow us on Facebook and twitter, there is always something going on and new pugs needing your help.
