My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Keaton has had a rough go of it recently. His previous owner had to leave the country and wanted to euthanize him. Thankfully, an individual stepped in and brought him to us instead. Keaton had been dealing with chronic ear infections for a long time before coming to us, but he is now being treated and will feel better than ever soon.

Keaton is a 24-pound chunk with a gentle soul. While he may not be too interested in toys, he thrives on companionship. His preferred way to socialize with other dogs is by being right in the middle of a big cuddle puddle—he loves to be the big spoon! Although he does well with other dogs, he would probably do best with another like-minded, mellow pup in a forever home. He’d be okay as the only dog too, just as long as he has a human companion to keep him company.

Keaton is very sweet and about 6.5 years old. He would love to be someone’s cuddle buddy on the couch and would enjoy regular leisurely walks to help him maintain a healthy weight. Keaton is looking for a loving home where he can feel safe, cared for, and loved.

If you’re ready to give Keaton the forever home he deserves, he’s ready to bring a lot of love into your life. Please inquire today!

More about this rescue

Pug Nation Rescue of Los Angeles is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, care, and placement of abandoned, neglected, unwanted, displaced, and abused pugs. Our goal is to find every homeless pug a forever home; if we cannot do that, we pledge to provide a comfortable and loving place for sick or unwanted pugs to live out their lives. Our Board of five and numerous volunteers are passionate about Pug Rescue and live by our motto of “One Pug at a Time”. We feel that through our efforts we can change many of these forgotten Pug’s lives. In order to find our Pugs a home as soon as possible, we hold at least three adoption fairs a month and also organize a number of fundraising events, including the annual Pugtacular festival and Legendary Bingo at Hamburger Mary’s in West Hollywood. These events and on-line fundraising have provided the money to help pay for vet treatments, medicine and loving care at our Pug Station. We rely on the generosity of our supporters through donations and participation in our fundraising activities. If you would like to make a donation, find out about the next event, become a volunteer, foster, or adopt your own rescue pug, you are in the right place! You can also follow us on Facebook and twitter, there is always something going on and new pugs needing your help.
