The Olympians are a litter of 10 week old Jack Russell Terrier x Maltese puppies ready to win Gold with their forever families! This litter came to our rescue at 10 days old with Mama Olympics needing some TLC, which we were ready to provide! Now that they have grown big and strong they are ready to win some medals of their very own! This litter is 3 boys and 2 girls. Our special pups can’t wait to impress you with their skills and adorable faces! We expect the pups to be in the 10-15 pound range when they are fully grown as they are healthy chunky pups! If you’re ready to keep the Olympic spirit going, bring home an Olympian today!

The Olympic puppies are sweet, roly-poly, beautiful, playful, bouncing puppies who are adorable to watch regardless of what they are doing. Read on to see their individual bios!

Apollo Ohno (M): Apollo’s striking markings make him stand out from the pack. He has adorable brown eyebrows, giving him a permanent puppy dog expression. However, this dude wants for nothing and is the happiest puppy alive. He is carefree and loving, tumbling around the yard after his toys and his siblings. As the largest of the litter, this gentle puppy adores his cuddle time. He is the biggest softie, melting in your arms when you scoop him up. Unlike his namesake, this puppy adores snoozing under a sunbeam, catching the rays that the summer provides. If you’re ready to skate your way to gold, bring home Apollo today!

Katie Ledecky (F): Fresh off her Olympic success, Katie is ready to shine in her forever home! Our little swimmer has discovered the water bowl as an amazing training pool, much to the amusement of her foster family. Though she may be the smallest pup, she hit all the milestones first, breaking records whether she is a swimmer or a puppy. She is a super smart puppy, figuring out how to ask to go out for potty before her brothers and sisters. She is fabulous at entertaining herself with a toy or even her tail! Katie is a great cuddler and will snooze the day away in your arms as long as you scratch her chin. This gal can’t wait to break the record of winning your heart!

Michael Phelps (M): Michael stands out from the litter not only because of his striking half white/half black nose, but his long legs that help him break all the swimming records! He is a well-balanced puppy who loves to explore the world and take on all the experiences his foster home has to offer! He loves cuddling and gives the sweetest puppy kisses to anyone he meets. Michael is absolutely hilarious when he plays, tumbling over his paws as he races around the yard. We know this charmer will make the world his oyster, so what are you waiting for? Scoop him up before he doggy paddles away faster than the speed of light.

Shaun White (M): Shaun is the friendliest and most cuddly puppy of the bunch, always ready for a belly rub or some puppy kisses. He wins over even the most dog-skeptical strangers with his loving personality and his unique markings. Shaun’s current favorite toy is a sock he discovered, dragging his prize from room to room as he keeps it away from his brothers and sisters. Shaun loves playing tug-of-war and chase with his siblings and would love a playful sibling in his forever home. This dude can’t wait to shred some powder as he takes on all the adventures the world has to offer. We know our little snowboarder will hang ten right into your heart. Bring this snow bunny home today!

Simone Biles (F): Simone is the GOAT both in gymnastics and in the heart of her foster mom. She is a world class cuddler, spending hours snoozing in a lap with her floppy ears and her puppy dog eyes. She loves to play and shows off her world class acrobatic skills from dawn till dusk. Simone leads the pack in playtime but when she is ready for a nap, she is finding a sunbeam or a warm blanket to snooze the hours away in. Our Simone has introduced many tricks such as “Best Cuddler” and “Amazing Kisses”. We know she will provide her forever home with hours of enjoyment and delight. What more could you want from an adorable and loving puppy? Just clear some space for her medal connection!

The puppies wake up around 6:30 AM ready to take on the day. They head right outside for the first pee/poop of the day and then come inside for breakfast. They eat and play for an hour or so and then fall back asleep. They wake up mid-morning and go outside again before they go back to playing. They have lunch around 1 PM and then spend some time playing outside in the yard in the shade. They then come inside for more naps and play. The puppy life is so hard, we know! They have dinner around 7 PM followed by some more outside playtime. They get some individual cuddle time in the evening before they start to get sleepy. They go outside for one last potty and then head into their pen for the night, dreaming of breaking world records.

The Olympic puppies have been well socialized with dogs of all ages and sizes. They adore meeting new people and have won over everyone in their neighborhood. We expect interested homes to have a plan for continued socialization and training so the puppies can be well-rounded adults. The puppies are so amazing and are a rescue favorite, so we know they will thrive in their forever homes. If you’re ready for a gold medal of your very own, bring home an Olympian today!

The Olympic puppies are only an option for homes who have owned a dog in the last five years. No family dogs, dog sitting, or foster dogs. Kids in the home should be over the age of 7.

More about this rescue

We are passionate folks who love dogs and love people! We strive to make the most appropriate match between human and canine. Because our dogs live in foster homes we know about their temperament and personality and therefore can help families and individuals decide if the dog is a good match or not. We are excited to help people find the right pooch for them and look forward to meeting great folks and welcoming them into the DPS Family.
