Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet GRRR. How old is GRRR? He is not telling. And he does not at all like when we guess. Nor does he want us to tell you that he is living with severe Congestive Heart Failure (so please do not read this out loud in front of him). Grrr would greatly appreciate a kind, warm lap to live out his days, weeks, months, maybe even a year or two. (You can start reading out loud now). Grrr was found lying in a pond at the tail end of winter by Sandoval County Animal Services and taken in by Cross My Paws Animal Rescue. Cold, almost dead, and so happy to feel the warm embrace of the humans who pulled him out and dried him off. He was a matted mess, so Sandoval County immediately took him to be groomed. To their surprise, he had a microchip. To their dismay, the people who answered the other end of that phone call said “Do not bother us.' For the past couple of months Grrr has been a resident of Cross My Paws, knows a doggy door, is on several medications that will likely continue for the remainder of his life. At first he is a little snippy with new people. However, it took us all of 2 days to get him to trust us and realize we were friends, and now he is so happy. He loves FRESH PET loaf, chicken jerky chews from COSTCO, and free feeds on 11+ hills tiny bites dry food. Won’t you be the one who takes him home to allow him to give you all the love he has left to give, allowing him to go peacefully when he decides it is his time? Cross My Paws will provide food, medications, and help with his needs if you are able to simply provide a soft bed and a warm lap to lie in. If you would like to assist in helping with his medical care or food needs, please go to crossmypaws.org to donate or adopt a fur baby THANK YOUOctober 2, 2024, 12:19 am
