Meet the sweetest little man, Raj, from Long Way Home Adoptables! Raj is estimated to be a 10 year old, 15 lbs Shih Tzu but he still has tons of sass and spunk despite his age! He is neutered, vaccinated, and potty trained.
Raj loves cuddles and will happily lay on your chest or sit in your lap all day. He is super low maintenance and is also happy on a blanket, dog bed, or the floor even! Raj's favorite thing to do is be outside. He doesn't run around like a puppy, but he prefers to sit outside enjoying the wind and sunshine. Raj is happy to spend some time in the bed or the couch as long as you are cuddling with him! He is not one for walks, so a family looking to add a chill canine member would be his dream! Raj also has recently shown his playful side and enjoys a good game of tug of war from time to time. Once he gets tired, he'll plop over for some belly rubs!
Raj has interacted well with other small dogs. He has not been tested with big dogs or cats but, due to his limited eyesight, I don't think he would care much. He LOVES hearing himself bark, but mostly to tell you that he's hungry or has to go potty. Sometimes he just is wanting your attention and love. His barks are so cute because he throws his whole head back and thinks he's a biiiiig dog! He usually goes to the bathroom 2x per day and eats 2x per day. He has a lifetime eye ointment but it is super easy to apply 2x per day, and he is a perfect gentleman while receiving it.
Raj loves sleeping upside down and makes the cutest noises when he sleeps! He sometimes surprises himself by sneezing😂 He is slightly impaired with his hearing and eyesight, but he can hear loud noises and footsteps it seems.
