Meet Bacon! This brave mama came to TCR after she and her babies were spotted outside near a busy road. Unfortunately, two of Bacon's four kittens did not survive, but the kind person who found this family did everything they could to ensure that mama and her remaining two kiddos could get inside to safety.
Bacon is a sweet girl who is a little suspicious at first. She can be a little shy at first when meeting new people, and she might give a little hiss if she feels you are moving a too fast for her on first introductions, but she means no harm! Once you show her that you mean her no harm (and especially if you come armed with snacks and yummy treats), you will win this mama over in no time. Bacon isn't hard to handle and even enjoys being petted once she is comfortable with you (which doesn't take too long!). She'd do best with a family willing to start her off in one small room and give her a little time to adjust at first. We think that Bacon could thrive as a solo cat, being adopted along with one of her foster friends that she currently is living with, or into a home where there is another chill resident cat. Small kiddos might be a bit overwhelming to her, but she'd likely do OK with older, cat-savvy kids. We are not sure how Bacon is with dog friends. Bacon's kittens have found their loving forever homes and she is wondering when it will be her turn.
Bacon is estimated to be about a year old. She has been spayed, dewormed, flea treated, microchipped, vaccinated, and has tested FIV/FeLV-. Are you ready to give this little sweetheart the loving home she deserves, where she no longer has to fend for herself and worry? Please apply today!

Additional adoption info
We try to do our best to make sure we find good fitting, responsible homes, without wasting a lot of our time. Our app has a lot of screening questions which help eliminate potential adopters who might not be serious (they usually just don't return the app), or not a good fit, which is why the in depth interview happens once the app is returned.

We are a small but dedicated 501c3 nonprofit cat rescue specializing in making one person's garbage kitten another person's forever cat.
Our mission is to reduce feline suffering and overpopulation using a combination of TNR and adoptions. We foster and socialize whenever we have the resources to do so, including behavioral cats and kittens who might otherwise just be candidates for TNR.
