Edmond is an adult, neutered male cat, probably born 2016, but we aren't sure. He is a large, dignified, softball headed lump of sugar. He grew up in a large group of cats and is used to not being the center of attention so he is quietly overjoyed when someone singles him out for cheek rubs. He won't put himself forward or compete for attention - but he just lights up if he's approached. Once he knows you think he's special, he will return the sentiment with the sweetest, thumping head bumps you've ever felt. He prefers to be the only cat, after a lifetime spend in a crowd, and he will devote 100% of his love and attention on you.
Note: Edmond has been diagnosed with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, which is an inherited heart condition. The muscles of his heart will continute to grow inappropriately, making the chambers smaller and smaller until he can't pump enough blood to stay alive. This will shorten his life significantly. There are drug regimens that will keep him comfortable and fend of side effects of his cardiac issues, but they can't stop the disease itself. We don't know how quickly the disease will advance, so there are serious question marks in his future, but we would love to find someone willing to take a chance on him and give him a home for whatever lifespan he may have - 6 months, two years, maybe longer...we just don't know.
