My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Name: BUDDY
Breed: SHIH TZU
Age: 4-6YRS (Estimate)
Weight: 8-10LBS
Vetting done: MICROCHIPPED, RABIES, VACCINES
Housebroken: No. Learning potty is done outside.
Crate trained: Will go in and out, sleeps in crate. Crated when no one is home. No concerns.
Leash Trained: No. introducing harness and leash currently.
Fenced in yard need: YES. As he is not use to leash use. It would be best he is in a home with a yard to minimize any risks that could occur.

Buddy is good with other animals. He sees different sized dogs daily and does not mind that. Ignores cats. Good with children. Children should understand that Buddy is shy and requires slow introductions.

Buddy is a sweet guy that has a lot of spunkiness he wants to show off. He’s shy of humans and fast movements but overtime that will change. He is a joy to watch run around. Buddy will follow you from a distance. He’s curious - A lot of his days are filled with new stuff he’s not use to. - free roaming, access to outside when he wants, soft bedding etc…. He came from a really tough situation before being rescued. He requires owners who understand that and are willing to go at Buddy’s pace.

Buddy is being fostered in Milwaukee Wisconsin. His ADOPTION FEE: $500.
Any questions or looking for more information, Buddy is being fostered by Sarah.

More about this rescue

Tiny Paws Small Dog Rescue was born out of my love for small dogs and desire to help those in need, and in memory of the loss of a dear family member. Dealing frequently with small breed puppies and retired breeder moms, we strive to find homes that are aware of the commitment to raising a small breed dog and to the patience needed in socializing and housebreaking a retired breeder mom who has no idea what life in a home is all about. We are foster home based and are always looking for new foster homes to help us continue our love of rescuing dogs in need. We are happy to assist in owner surrender placements, especially those in need of surrendering their small dogs due to financial hardships, loss of a loved one, or dog owner entering assisted living facilities or nursing homes. We pride ourselves with a thorough search for that perfect home for a dog in need and follow up with phone calls to ensure things are going well. Tiny Paws will take back an adopted dog should the need arise within a reasonable notice and an available foster home has an open spot. Our goal is to someday own a building to house even more canine companions in need. We look forward to helping you find your family pet.
