Hi, I’m Scrappy Doo. I’m a three-month-old boxer mix. I’ve had a pretty rough start because my owner tied a rope around my neck and never took it off so it became deeply embedded in my neck and had to be removed when I was found running the streets. I also have two deep scars on my back that may be from burns. But none of that has stopped or affected me. I have been examined and cleared by my vet. I’m a very energetic puppy who needs a lot of exercise and stimulation because I’m still in my biting and chewing stage. I'm a pretty smart guy. I learned how to use the doggie door in one day and I know some basic commands. I’m mostly housebroken but still need some reminders. I’m crate-trained but have tons of energy, so I’m not a good candidate to be crate-confined for too long. However, at night, I do very well in a crate, which works quite well, because I’m a puppy and need some time to relax (you will too, lol). I bark when appropriate, but not excessively. I get along with everybody and everything. I am confident and enjoy being a lapdog. I will do my best surrounded by people, other dogs, kids, and cats. All adoptions are spayed/neutered, vaccinated with age appropriate vaccines, treated for fleas and ticks, dewormed for common intestinal parasites, and microchipped.
Adopters must be at least 18 years old. If you don't own your residence, you must provide a copy of the lease agreement stating that you're able to own animals. We will check your animal control history and there is about 15-20 minutes worth of paperwork before you can take your animal home.
