My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rizz is a lovely, dark gray female 6-month-old kitten. She's quite adventurous and independent, but likes some good lap time when she's taking a break. She gets along well with other cats after initial introductions, and plays with all kinds of toys. She's a sweet, fun kitten!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Please see our website: www.catscradleva.org for a copy of our adoption application and adoption contract. Adoption fees vary, but generally run around $135.

All our cats are spayed or neutered before adoption, and fully vetted. We have an adoption center in Harrisonburg, but we also make extensive use of foster homes until adoption.

We generally prefer indoor only homes, and our contract specifies that the cat(s) will not be de-clawed.

We have some cats that cannot be adopted into an indoor situation. For these, we seek safe barn or out-building locations.

Go meet their pets

We show our cats at PetSmart in Springfield, VA on most 1st and 3rd Saturdays, at the PetSmart in Harrisonburg, VA on some Saturdays and some Sunday afternoons, and at the Petsmart in Waynesboro on Saturdays. We also show cats at our adoption center at 124 S Main St. in Harrisonburg 11-6 M-F, and 11-5 Sat and 11-4 Sunday.

Please visit our website: www.catscradleva.org for other adoption events and hours for showings or call the adoption center at 540-433-1135.

More about this rescue

Founded in 1998, Cat’s Cradle seeks to end euthanasia of healthy adoptable cats and dogs in Shenandoah Valley through aggressive spay/neuter of owned animals and TNR (trap/neuter/release) of feral cats.

We also have a network of foster parents and an active adoption program for cats. In 2009 we opened an adoption center in Harrisonburg. We do not euthanize for space.

Please visit our website at: www.catscradleva.org for more information.
