My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

While fritters do come in many flavors, this Fritter is gonna be your favorite. She is quiet (maybe a little shy) but playful. Fritter has learned the doggy door and is happy to come in and out as she pleases. She has the cutest sprinkles (aka freckles) on one ear and does enjoy rolling in the dough/aka romping and playing in the tall grass and splash pool. Fritter also likes to play keep away and hide and seek with the older dogs and her siblings. This Fritter is both sweet and savory. I mean you could just eat her up with her adorable smile and personality. She loves toys and sticks and any other treasure she finds in her explorations. But at the end of the day she hopes you will sit down with her and let her be your big lap snuggle pup. She will lavish you with kisses too! Schedule an appointment and come get your very best Fritter ever! Yum! She and her siblings have had exposure to and respect adult dogs, senior dogs, and horses. They've been working on their potty training. They would benefit from more leash practice and exciting excursions. They have all done well in and are quiet when crated. All pups have adjusted to indoors and furniture climbing. They do still need to work on their manners in the kitchen though. Being such large babies, the kitchen counter is easily accessible on 2 legs. They've been learning what "down" means too. They're great couch potatoes after they get their energy run out.

Additional adoption info

All puppies and dogs at Saving Grace are crate trained, have been spayed/neutered, are up to date on their vaccines, are on heartworm preventative and have been microchipped. Their adoption fee is $350.00. Each has been carefully screened for disposition and temperament in order to provide your home with a safe companion that will enjoy life as your new family member.

If you are interested in meeting one of our dogs, please complete an Adoption Application at our website: savinggracenc.org

Sending an Application does not commit you to an adoption, it simply provides us with background information on potential homes. Please review our Adoption Contract before sending an Application to ensure that you will be able to provide the requirements stated in the contract. The Contract must be signed at the time of adoption.

Saving Grace is a small, non-profit 501-C3 organization operated by volunteers only. Most of our animals come from rural animal control shelters where lack of space and resources limit their time and adoption possibilities. Thank you for choosing Saving Grace! We look forward to helping you find your new companion and family member.

More about this rescue

Located in central North Carolina and officially established in 2004, Saving Grace has placed over 15,000 dogs into homes since its inception. These dogs were from rural animal control facilities with little resources and who would otherwise not had the opportunity to receive necessary veterinary care and a chance at adoption. While we have grown significantly over the years and have been successful growing our numbers we still see many great dogs miss the opportunity of adoption.

We have a large variety of dogs varying in breed, size, shape, age and needs and would love to work with you to find you a great dog companion while providing a dog in need with a loving home. Our dogs are chosen based on temperament and socialization. We get some of the most charming, unique mix breeds as well as some striking purebreds. Our dogs come from rural, underserved areas and while they may have little experience as an indoor family member, they have the temperament and personality that is sure to bring much love and appreciation to their new home. Most have started their crate training while in our program. Veterinary care including spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm test, vaccinations, monthly preventatives are provided prior to each adoption. If you would like more information about adopting one of our dogs, please email savinggrace@savinggracenc.org
