My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Beenie is a curious and playful little one. He will require a pet parent with a little patience as he's easily startled (and may hiss), but he's all bark and no bite. Once he's comfortable, he's out and about exploring, ready to pounce on any nearby toy with his favorite being a ribbon and his litter mate's tail. When Beenie gets excited he wiggles what little tail he has and mews to let you know he's on the move so you can watch what he can do.
**Note: he does still get a bit hissy but nowhere near where he was before so people shouldnt take it personally. No issues with just grabbing and loving on him as he tolerates it even if it's not his jam.

The process is quite simple! Please stop by and see for yourself. All animals are spayed/neutered, dewormed, vaccinated, and microchipped prior to going home.

Tuesday - Saturday:10:00 am - 6:00 pm
Sunday: 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

More about this shelter

We are a non-profit open intake shelter that serves all of East Baton Rouge parish. We strive to improve the lives of abandoned, unwanted and abused animals in our parish. We house approximately 400 animals at any given time. We take in 20-30 new animals a day. We are always in need of fosters both short and long term, donations, and volunteers.
