WHAT MY FOSTER SAYS: Raspberry is an angel. She is sweet, intelligent, gentle, inquisitive, and affectionate. She just wants to be around you 24/7. Raspberry will just look at you with big eyes and ask for treats, which she will gently take when given to her. She spat out her kennel cough meds at one point when she figured out they were in the cheese, and I picked it up and put it back in her mouth without a problem. We are teaching her to sit and walk on a leash - in a week and a half she is already pretty perfect at both - but she is still very much a puppy and wants to play and at times lacks focus just because she is so wiggly and excited.
Raspberry is clearly housebroken - she waits to go outside, she will also let you know if she needs to go by crying to get your attention - we take her out. She is still very puppy and I think she gets so excited to sniff that maybe once in a while we might forget we need to pee when we initially out there. We have encountered chipmunks, squirrels, and a full grown STAG last night - he walked out into the path in front of us and she just stood alert and watched. That is to say, she does not appear to have a strong prey drive and we have not seen any signs of hostility toward any other animals. She does really want to play with other dogs - the only time she really pulls on the leash is if she sees another pup and really wants to say hi!
She is quickly learning how to settle in her crate with just a little crying and we have a white noise machine next to her crate, which seems to help - and hey, to be fair, she has had to spend too much time in her crate due to recovering from some lingering kennel cough so her communication is valid! During the day, she shares my office while I work, and she seems to like to have me nearby. She seems to listen and will sometimes "talk" while I am in meetings, which is very cute and my clients now know ALL about BSL due to her presence!
Raspberry is absolutely perfect. She is curious and passive and sweet - a total LOVE BUG. When she's with you, she just cannot stop wiggling. She is goofy and playful and will fit into so many homes - in fact, we'd keep her if we had the space so don't miss out on this exceptional pup!
ATTRIBUTES: Raspberry has done well with dogs.
