My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What my friends at ACC say about me:

My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet!

I have medical needs that staff will address with you when you meet me.

I would do best in a home with only adult humans.

I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.

I prefer to call the shots and enjoy coming to you when I'm ready for pets.

A volunteer writes: Dora's "Hi, I'm Dora," isn't the most adventurous, but big adventures don't really seem to be her style. Wanting to hand me her trust, she'd take one step forward and two steps back as she slowly made her way toward me. I stood there talking with Dora, explaining that I'm just here to make friends and I'd really love nothing more than to stay in and hang out together, but it understandably took a couple minutes of convincing. Dora was found after having given birth to kittens who crossed the rainbow bridge and finding her place at the busy Care Center has been a bit of a challenge. Dora really wanted to be my friend and though she took a few moments to warm up to me, we bonded over treats. She slowly worked her way out of her crawl progression forward and leaned herself into pets by stretching herself into my hands and softly nuzzling. Dora is decidedly gorgeous, but I think her sweet and gentle personality is what will always turn heads.
