Here's what the humans have to say about me:
I have been lucky enough to be Baldo’s foster parent. This beautiful
2.5-year-old German Shephard mix was rescued from a shelter just
before he was to be euthanized. I am so glad that did not happen
because this dog is amazing. He has made an impression on
everyone that has met him. He has shown resilience and strength
and is looking forward to his forever family. Baldo is very low key for
a dog that is 2 and a half. He loves to lay at your feet and spreads
out on his side and snoozes for several hours a day. He walks very
well on a lead and loves to go for walks which consist of meandering
along and smelling the world. At our house we have 2 female dogs,
and he loves to play with them. He will even lay down to be
submissive in his play at times. He likes to be in the same room you
are in but does not have separation anxiety or any other anxiety for
that matter. Baldo is house trained, and crate trained. He does not
jump or counter surf and does not beg for human food. He does like
to eat but he likes his treats even more. Baldo does not mind riding
in the car but is anxious to get out of the car to see where he is and
what is going to happen next. Adjectives I would use to describe
Baldo best is handsome, resilient, loving, and loyal. I have learned a
lot from him, especially about loving unconditionally. His adoption fee is $200

We do check references. Please note we do not adopt to family with small children for safety reason and tenants due to breed restrictions.
2.
Home Check
and determine if it is good match. Please realize it is all about the dog or cat and his or her needs. We do not adopt to family who smokes.
3.
Meet the Pet
If everything is good then we go forward with meeting the pet and do the adoption agreement at that time.

More about this rescue
Common and understandable questions we encounter are “Where do the donations go?” and “Why are the puppies more expensive?”
Our philosophy at Find a Home, Give a Home is “all for one, and one for all”. This is why we list puppies at a higher adoption fee than our shelter babies. Puppies usually have less initial veterinary costs and are typically adopted at a quicker pace than adult dogs. The fees we receive for our puppies OFFSET the cost for all the precious lives we save that haven’t been as fortunate.
While cute little puppies (breeder surrender/confiscation) are often the most desirable and sought after, our true purpose is the humanitarian effort of finding homes for shelter dogs. Rescue dogs from shelters have not received even the basic veterinary care ever or regularly and are often abandoned and found in terrible physical condition, and sometimes are injured and need emergency and specialty veterinary treatment and care. We do everything we can to help these dogs to regain their health both physically and mentally. As these precious babies heal in foster homes, unfortunately, the veterinary costs do add up. Once they are healed, they sometimes have “special needs” which require temporary or permanent medications. All of this can delay finding the right forever home for them.
